“There is a Time for Everything – or is There?”
Judaism teaches in Sefer Kohelet, the Book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 3, verse 1 that “Lakol Zman – There is a Time for Everything?” But is there? Our session will begin with a story that asks this question of a rabbi and winds up putting him in a difficult theological position. Then we will take an in-depth look at chapter 3 and discuss all the times that are discussed to weigh in when are good and bad, acceptable and non-acceptable times for experiencing what life brings. Our session will conclude with the conclusion of the original tale and the rabbi’s answer to the question, “Is there really a time for everything?!”
Join us for this look at a well-known Biblical chapter and a compelling discussion of the question… Is there really a time for everything and every experience underneath the heavens?! Looking forward to seeing you there!
