Teen Jewish Identity and anti-Semitism Course 2025-2026

Tuesdays: 6:30 PM- 8:30 PM

10/28, 11/11, 12/9, 1/13, 2/10, 3/17, 4/21

Registration Fee: $250 + $50 for books and supplies
(free for Kesher Teen Students- Wednesday Program)

Objectives:

1: Students think deeply about what is Jewish Identity: what is it, how is it expressed, how do people think differently about it, etc…

2: Students think critically about their own Jewish Identity, particularly how they express it and how and if they want to express it in certain settings.

3: Students will think about Jewish Identity and the experience of being a Jewish identified person during this time: challenges, struggles, etc.

4: Students will further their understanding of anti-Semitism and how it may/ may not intersect with Jewish Identity.

By registering for this course your teen commits to attend all/ as many as possible classes as possible.

Photograph/Image PermissionRecording events, celebrations, class progress and individual students on file is an important part of school life. We ask that you give your permission for your child(ren), you and/or your family to be included in our BTBJ photo collection, website newsletter, Facebook page, and school publications. We also recognize that parents may take pictures or videos of school events, the use of which is beyond our control (such as parents personally posting photos or videos on the web). We ask that all families be sensitive to the desire of other parents and take down or blur out a child, if asking to do so. BTBJ may publish photographs/ images and/or quotations of my child, and members of my family.
